VPL-PPLA-8~48 Logic Analyzer is a measuring tooling capable of simultaneous display of the logic states (0 or 1) or multichannels and indispensable for manufacture, development and troubleshooting of digital circuits and their applied systems. In the past, the only method of observing digital signals was with an oscilloscope (for analog signals). But the major impact of the technology has been with microcomputer, digital signal processors, communications, and data transmission, and extended even the fields of anlog. Unlike conventional logic analyzer it is very user friendly and super low cost. It can be attached to any IBM or compatible computer.
A logic analyzer has become the essential tool for both hardware and software engineers. It enables the activity of many digital signal points to be recorded and then examined in detail either as a timing diagram or a state display expressed in BINARY,ASCII, HEX etc.
The VPL-PPLA-8~48 has 8/16/32/48 data sampling channels, with built-in software selectable sampling clock and triggering circuits. The equipment samples the TTL logic states at the data channel inputs, and displays these states on the Computer screen. These states could be saved on diskettes for future references.
To make it a more flexible device, an external clock input and an external trigger input are also provided. Further more, there are outlets for the internal sampling clock signal and the internal trigger signal. Operation is very simple. Simply connect the data channels to the test points and select the clock rate and triggering point, then all the logic states of the test points will be displayed on the computer/screen in graphic format.
Installation could be done within a few minutes. All connectors, hardware and operating software are included in the user package.
